Work Trade Opportunities

The Yoga Forest is a space dedicated to bringing together the principles of Permaculture and the philosophies of yoga. It is an experiment in self-reliant homesteading, green living and yogic practices. We are creating a healthy alternative lifestyle to bring people together through living more closely with nature, producing much of our own food with ecological consciousness and creating balance for individual, community and spiritual development through yoga.

Our work trade opportunities are all for minimum 3 month commitments. A one month trial period is required prior to commencing your work trade at a cost of US$300 for the first month, staying in our shared circus tent accommodations. During the first trial month, you will be oriented to our systems, your expectations and responsibilities and we hope to observe your commitment to service within the community. After the first trial month is completed, if both parties agree that you are a suitable fit, your work trade will commence for a minimum of two more months, however three to six month commitments will be preferred. 

After successful completion of a three month work trade, you will be refunded 100% of your initial US$300 deposit.

We offer three positions for a full work trade:

Wellness Warriors

Healer, therapist, yoga teacher extraordinaire. Come and share your healing in a conscious living community. We are looking for multifaceted individuals with several gifts to share.

Autonomous position where you are able to create your own abundance depending on your skill set. Opportunities to create your own day retreats, workshops and massage offerings. Applicants must be certified yoga teachers with a minimum of one year teaching experience as well as training in at least one facet of massage therapy. Each warrior is responsible for up to six yoga classes per week, in both hatha/vinyasa and restorative/yin styles as well as space holding shifts and performing karma yoga duties for the community.

Ideal candidates will show initiative, be passionate about sharing their love for holistic living, and be energetic space holders for our conscious community.

Minimum commitment of three months to be considered, six months commitment preferred. Please contact us if you are interested in co-creating an alternative living and learning center in the tropical mountains of Guatemala. Position may also be offered to the right person upon completion of our Yoga Teacher Trainings and Thai Massage Immersions.
